Greetings Leaders and Friends of the Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority Serving Institutions Community:

During African American History Month, we celebrate the many contributions African Americans make to our society. In recognition of these contributions the Department of Defense (DoD) will host an Observance and Outreach Program on February 26-27, 2014, at Tuskegee University in Tuskegee, Alabama. DoD's theme is "Taking the Pentagon to the People, Reaching Out to Youth: A Strategy for Excellence." DoD will host a number of events, including technical assistance sessions, a college student career fair, high school seminar, leadership symposium and observance program.

The Department sustains the goals of exposing minority institutions, their students, and high school youth to business and career opportunities within DoD. These events help to strategically address the low participation of women and minorites in the replica watches uk senior civilian and military grades and ranks, and demonstrate support for Presidential Executive Orders that strengthen the infrastructure of minority institutions. We envision participation from the Military services, prime and small business contractors, presidents from other Historically Black Colleges and Universities and Minority Serving Institutions, faculty, staff, youth from local school districts, as well as surrounding college students.

One of our goals is to develop a comprehensive suite of recommendations to DoD and HBCUs/MSIs in an effort to develop and enhance existing relationships. Additional information about the events can be found on this website. We hope to see you in Tuskegee, Alabama, next month.
